SPECIAL END-OF-YEAR ACTIVITIES

We're nearing the end of the 2014-15 school year and we're proud of all of our students.  Our 8th grade students will enjoy some additional special activities and events before the end of this year.  Parents and families, mark your calendars for the following:

     8th Grade Promotion Ceremony                            Friday, May 15, 6:30 - 8:00 PM  (in our gymnasium)
     8th Grade Students Year End Party (YEP)              Friday, May 15, 8:00 - 10:00 PM  (in our cafeteria ~ PTO sponsored)
     8th Grade Students Wet 'n Wild Water Park Day     Wednesday, May 20, 9:15 AM - 5:00 PM

On the morning of Friday, May 22 we will have our annual Awards Ceremonies for our 6th graders and our 7th graders.  These events will be in our gymnasium.  This is our last day of school and dismissal is early, at 11:20 AM.

IMS SITE COUNCIL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2015-16 PARENT REPRESENTATIVES

Ingleside Site Council is seeking to fill two parent representative positions that will be vacated at the end of this school year.  These positions are two year terms.  
Site Council serves as an advisory group to the principal and plays an important role, and link, between our community and our school.
Please complete this IMS Site Council application and return to the school office by Monday, April 27 (applications are also available in the office).  Shortly after April 27, a ballot will be sent out to our current 6th and 7th grade parent community so that you may select your representatives.

INGLESIDE ACADEMY ~ SUMMER SCHOOL

IMS is offering summer school from June 1 through June 25 (Mondays through Thursdays).  Please click on the links below for specific information.  The program will be intervention-based and targeted to our 2015-2016  6-7-8 grade students.  If your child is identified, you will be contacted by his or her guidance counselor.

DANCE APPRECIATION RECITAL

On Monday, May 11, our after-school Dance Appreciation students will present Fly to Your Heart, Me, Myself, and I. The recital will be 5:00 - 6:00 PM; the cafeteria doors will open at 4:30 PM.

SUSD STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
The SUSD Student Code of Conduct provides detailed information on District policy.  Enrollment at any SUSD school obligates acceptance of the SUSD Student Code of Conduct.  The Code of Conduct is available here.

INGLESIDE HANDBOOK

The Ingleside Middle School Handbook details our expectations, guidelines, and policies.  It should be reviewed by both students and parents.  The Handbook is included with the Student Planner that is provided to every Ingleside student.  For your convenience, it is also available here in English  and  Spanish.
 
HOW TO SCHEDULE A PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE

Parents are invited and encouraged to schedule a conference at any time during the year to discuss concerns, progress, or just to “check-in.” The procedure for scheduling a conference is as follows:
 
Group Conference
If you would like to schedule a conference with all of your child’s teachers at once, you may call the school office to leave a message for your child’s teachers to contact you. Or you may email your child's teachers. Teachers will return your call / email and schedule the conference at a time that is convenient for you and the group of teachers to meet.
 
Individual Class Concerns
If you have a question or concern about a certain subject area, call the school office and leave a message for the individual teacher. Or email that teacher.
 
Other Communication
Students and parents are encouraged to visit the websites of the core and enrichment teachers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Be sure to check our Athletics page (click on 'Athletics' tab at upper left) for important information and required documents for the 2014-2015 sports program.

 
CAMPUS SECURITY

Campus safety is important.  SUSD safety policies strengthen our commitment of making sure all students remain safe on campus:
  • All 6th - 12th grade students are required to wear their school ID badge while on campus
  • All visitors are required to provide identification at the school office front desk before proceeding onto campus
As always, the safety of our students remain a top priority!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
 

 
INFO FOR 2015-16 ARCADIA HS FRESHMEN

Incoming 2015-16 Arcadia High School freshman need to mark Thursday, August 6 on their calendars.  On this date students will obtain their final class schedule, pay any class fees, have their student ID photo taken, select lockers, etc., etc.  Look for more information from Arcadia High School as the date draws closer.
Classes begin for all students on Monday, August 10, 2015.
